Position: MIS Officer

Role Overview

The MIS Officer will be responsible for managing and improving the Management Information System (MIS) to ensure effective data collection, analysis, and reporting. The officer will play a key role in supporting decision-making by providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders, including project teams, management, and funding partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MIS databases and reporting systems.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate meaningful insights for program monitoring and decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the MIS framework.
• Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for stakeholders.
• Support program teams in data collection methodologies and management processes.
• Identify and address gaps in data collection, processing, and reporting mechanisms.
• Train field teams and relevant stakeholders on MIS tools and data management practices.
• Collaborate with IT and program teams to enhance system functionalities and user experience.
• Ensure compliance with data protection policies and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate degree or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in MIS, data management, or IT systems in a development or corporate setting.
• Proficiency in database management, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis.
• Strong understanding of data collection, validation, and reporting methodologies.
• Experience in using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other data analytics tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project locations for data collection and training.

Compensation

• As per industry standards and candidate’s current CTC.
