Role Overview
The Financial Inclusion Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance financial inclusion among farmers and rural entrepreneurs. This role involves facilitating access to financial services, building capacity in financial literacy, and strengthening linkages between Farmers Producer Companies (FPCs), financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial inclusion strategies for FPCs and rural communities.
- Facilitate access to credit, insurance, and other financial services for smallholder farmers.
- Build partnerships with banks, microfinance institutions, and fintech companies to enhance financial access.
- Conduct financial literacy programs and capacity-building workshops for FPCs and rural entrepreneurs.
- Assist FPCs in developing business plans and securing financial support.
- Monitor and evaluate financial inclusion initiatives to assess impact and scalability.
- Identify risks and challenges related to financial inclusion and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and institutional policies.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote inclusive financial systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance, Rural Management, Economics, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial inclusion, banking, microfinance, or rural finance.
- Strong understanding of rural credit systems, financial products, and digital financial services.
- Proven track record in developing financial strategies and building institutional partnerships.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project locations and financial institutions.
Compensation
- As per industry standards and candidate’s current CTC.
