Role Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist will play a pivotal role in strengthening supply chains, building market linkages, and enabling Farmers Producer Companies (FPCs) to operate efficiently and profitably. The incumbent will identify business opportunities, develop value chain strategies, and establish partnerships to enhance market access for FPCs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic market assessments to identify business opportunities for FPCs.
  • Select and assess key commodities through value chain analysis at the FPC level.
  • Support FPCs in developing and implementing business plans (B2B, B2C, B2B2C models).
  • Establish partnerships with brands, retailers, and institutional buyers to enhance market access.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to strengthen sourcing, logistics, and market connections for FPCs.
  • Monitor market trends, identify risks affecting FPCs, and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Provide capacity-building support to FPCs on supply chain optimization and market engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, certifications, and market requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive sustainable and profitable market linkages.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Agribusiness, Rural Management, Natural Resource Management (NRM), or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, agribusiness, market linkages, or rural enterprise development.
  • Proven track record in value chain analysis, business plan development, and market partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of FPC operations, agricultural commodities, and market systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to markets and project locations.

Compensation

  • As per industry standards and candidate’s current CTC.
